About Us
At Kairos Design, we are passionate about accompanying our clients through the journey of design. We understand the unspoken, subconscious power of environments to either cause stress or promote wellness. This is why we are so enthusiastic about what we do - because we understand the lasting effects of thoughtfully designed spaces to drastically improve quality of life.
Founded by Sarah Mejia, former teacher with a Bachelor’s in Math and a Master’s in Education, the field of interior design was not in her career plans, but after working closely with her husband’s construction company she uncovered a hidden talent in design where much of her professional background and education surprisingly carried over. She was always drawn to the visual principles of math in geometry and actually became an artist while and through studying math. Even more than her love for math, she has always had a fascination with studying the human experience. She loves exploring the intersection of place-making, human behavior and social behavior and she loves learning in general whether it be from her 3 little ones, her clients or industry experts across the globe.
